importing PS files into Mma

has anyone found a way to import PostScript files into Mma via 

the Get command?

one can import a PostScript file by:
 1) opening file.ps with Edit
 2) select all      Cmd a
 3) cut and paste into a Mma cell
 4) formatting the cell as PostScript via the cell menu
 5) Cmd t

this method is too user-dependent...

any comments are welcome
