Mathematica on NeXT and DOS or Windows

I have a NeXT Station with Mathematica 2.0 and am now planning on getting a
DOS laptop. I have three questions.

1. What differences have people found between the DOS and the Windows versions
of Mathematica (this answer may be contingent on the next two answers).

2. Is it possible to transfer notebooks between the NeXT version and either or
both of the DOS or Windows versions of Mathematica.

3. How fast (or slow) is Mathematica on a 386SL 25 Mhz with a coprocessor,
especially in the Windows version. Given a choice, would a 486 SX be a must for
using this.

My feeling is that in Windows I can use Notebooks like in the NeXT, and that
Windows Mathematica is quite slow in 386, but I'm not sure about this. If
anybody has any experience using these two environments in parallel, I would
appreciate any feedback (not just on using Mathematica).

Thanks
