Is there a way to make Mathematica understand Fortran or C form floats
in the standard input? (I know there is when reading a file.) I
often have a bunch windows open and using the mouse pick numbers out
of one window that may look like 1.56e+18 and want to just paste them
into Mathmatica and have it work. It would be nice if there were a
switch to turn this on. As it is, it thinks it is 1.56*e + 18.
