Mathematica and calculus

The mathematics faculty at Eastern Kentucky University is interested in integrating the use of mathematica into the calculus sequence. One option we have considered is to teach a 2 hour course in mathematica as a co-requisite with calculus I. Under this option those teaching calculus could use mathematica to meet their objective in calculus without having to spend time teaching mathematica commands and syntax. Another method would be to teach mathematica as part of the calculus sequence. If this method is used, however, it seems that topics in calculus will have to be eliminated to make way for mathematica. I am interested in learning what other schools are doing along these lines. If it is "standard practice" to teach mathematica as part of the calculus sequence, is there any common agreement as to what calculus topics can be removed ? I would appreciate receiving a reply from anyone who is interested in sharing information.
