Hi,

One potential problem with of incorporating external graphics images
into TeX/LaTeX is that the labels and other text are set in
different fonts.

In TUGBoat 13(3) (Proceedings 1992) p330, Neil Weiss
describes a procedure for incorporating graphics in TeX documents
with TeX formatted labels. Basically, he uses a system called
Mathematical Graphics, which exports graphics images in two files, a
encapsulated ps file with the graphics and an ascii file with the
labels plus coordinates. The latter can then be set by TeX, while the
former is passed through TeX as a special.

In principle, it should be possible to do a similar trick with any
encapsulated ps file, but filtering out the text and setting it
separately. For example, I am interested in the incorporating images
generated by Mathematica and Adobe Illustrator.

Does anybody know of such a filter??
