Dear Math Group,

Is it possible to assign the differential of a function A[z] to be real,
associating the assignment with A (and not with Im)?

            A/: Im[D[A[z],z]]=0 (using Im from package Algebra/ReIm.m)

gives the error message: "Tag A in Im[dA[z]/dz] is not in a valid position
for assignment."

Thank you very much in advance,
