MathGroup: If you are a Solaris 2.X user on Sun Sparc or Intel X86 machines, please read on. I would like to know what major public domain software packages have been ported successfully to Solaris 2.X on Sparc and/or X86. Where can these be obtained? In addition, what public domain packages would people like to see ported to Solaris 2.X? Finally, what configurations of X86 machines are people using to run Solaris 2.X? I am working to find public domain software that runs under Solaris 2.X - or should - to place on the SunSITE archive at UNC-Chapel Hill. I also believe that many potential Mathematica-MathLink-PD Software possibilities exist and would like to have people pursue such development. Please respond to me at: Steve Christensen stevec at yoda.physics.unc.edu
