Public Domain Software on Solaris 2.X

If you are a Solaris 2.X user on Sun Sparc or Intel X86
machines, please read on.
I would like to know what major public domain software
packages have been ported successfully to Solaris 2.X
on Sparc and/or X86. Where can these be obtained?
In addition, what public domain packages would people like to
see ported to Solaris 2.X?
Finally, what configurations of X86 machines are people
using to run Solaris 2.X?
I am working to find public domain software that runs
under Solaris 2.X - or should - to place on the SunSITE archive
at UNC-Chapel Hill.
I also believe that many potential Mathematica-MathLink-PD Software
possibilities exist and would like to have people pursue such development.
