I recently recieved Mathematica 2.2 for the Sparc-10. I cannot get Olps to work at all. When I try to use Motifps I get the several hundred errors of the form: kesser% math Mathematica 2.2 for SPARC Copyright 1988-93 Wolfram Research, Inc. -- Motif graphics initialized -- In[1]:= Plot3D[Sin[x y], {x,0,3}, {y,0,3}] Out[1]= -SurfaceGraphics- In[2]:= Warning: Cannot find Visual of class TrueColor for display kesser:0.0 Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "white" Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "black" Warning: translation table syntax error: Unknown keysym name: osfActivate Warning: ... found while parsing '<Key>osfActivate: ManagerGadgetSelect() ' Warning: translation table syntax error: Unknown keysym name: osfSelect Warning: ... found while parsing ' <Key>osfSelect: ManagerGadgetSelect() ' Warning: translation table syntax error: Unknown keysym name: osfHelp Warning: ... found while parsing ' <Key>osfHelp: ManagerGadgetHelp() ' Warning: translation table syntax error: Unknown keysym name: osfBeginLine Warning: ... found while parsing '<Key>osfBeginLine: ManagerGadgetTraverseHome()' Finally, Motips comes up but with severe "color-flashing" problems. I.e. it uses a PseudoColor visual but the colors are all messed up. xdpyinfo indicates (and I know I have!) a TrueColor visual. I also have a keysymdb with all these keys defined. I used to get these errors on other Motif programs, but when I fixed the keysymdb, these stoppped. The Mathematica hotline has not been able to get me an answer to this since May 6 1993. Does anyone else have a sparc, and how are you getting around these problems? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Yechezkal-Shimon Gutfreund sgutfreund at gte.com GTE Laboratories, Waltham MA harvard!bunny!sgutfreund -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
