greetings mathgroup:

one can execute 'raw' postscript in Mma via the Postscript[] command.
one could then 'patch' together pieces of 'raw' postscript code with
Graphics objects, i.e., Circle[]...

the trouble that i am having is getting the two coordinated...

as soon as i get the 'raw' postcript _translated_ to the proper position in the
graphics, and 'add' another graphics object, the 'raw' postscript image changes
position.

one can unformat the cell and figure out what the translation should be, (or scaling),

does anyone have any suggestions on how to 'marry' these two types of graphics?

do we use a 'gsave' and 'grestore' pair around the graphics?

thanx.
