I'm sure this problem has come up before, but I must not
have appreciated its significance at the time..
On a NeXT running OS 3.0 I have been using TeXice to prepare

Encapsulated PostScript `swatches' of LaTeX output, which I intend to

paste into Mathematica notebooks in order to produce nice equations.

{We're using conventional TeX pk fonts, not re-scalable PostScript
fonts.) Despite warnings from Mathematica [version 2.0 here at work,
and 2.1 at home] when the PostScript is inserted in the notebook,
the swatches **appear** just fine when viewed in the Mma notebook,
and when the notebook is previewed (from the NeXT print panel) they

also look just fine. However, when actually printed, the equations
appear on separate sheets, and are entirely disconnected from the
notebook. {While these notebooks were printed 4-up, the misbehavior
still exists on conventional 1-up printing.) The same appears to be
true of other apparently otherwise well-behaved PostScript graphics
when inserted into a notebook.

Has anyone succeeded in circumventing this problem??
        --Thanks
