ODE plus Algebraic eqns

Hello mathgroup: 
  
     The more general formulation of NDSolve[ ] is to solve a system of
coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations (initial value problem)
with algebraic equations (or called constraints).  Is there any package
of Mma in the world, which can solve the general formulism which is 
usually taken place in the transistor-based electric circuit analysis.
     Any suggestion or information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in
advance!!!
