 I have not been able to figure out how to set up

Mma, ver 2.2 for Windows to avoid the following formatting

problem. This occurs on several platforms, all with

Mma, 2.2 and Windows. The printer in one case is an

HP LJIII and in another case an HPLJII.

I ask Mma to solve a simple set of equations, like

eq1=a*x+b*y-8 and eq2=c*x+d*y-5. The output of the Solve

function on the screen is correct and is formatted

correctly, for example

        8    b  (-5 a  etc.
 { { -> - + -------------
        a   a (-b  etc.

while the printed output looks like the following

-{-{ -> etc, etc

the printed output is correct except for the extraneous
dashes preceeding the left braces.

I have a third system, Mma 2.2, with Windows that prints
via a Coactive Connector to printers on an Appletalk netwrok,
all of which are Post Script and I have not seen the problelm.
I suspect that it is somehow associated with the translation
from Postscript, but I have not been able to isolate it.

Any ideas, or better yet, solutions?
