To investigate the quality of a stationary point in Mathematica you
just write

J=Outer[D,funvaluess,variables]

to calculate the jacobian of the equation with rhs _funvalues_
and in the variables _variables_, and then calculate the eigenvalues

Eigenvalues[J]

or the eigenvalues and eigenvectors by

EigenSystem[J].
