Is it possible to query a Mathematica graph (2dimensions)
in order to obtain the height of a character in the current
font measured in term of the units for the y-axis.
I need this in order to be able to position some
multiline tick labels on a special-purpose axis that I have.

(Note: I can obtain the width and height of a typical
character in the current font in my favourite (statistical)
programme I use for drawing graphs and it is very
useful facility.)
