Is it possible to improve the speed of Mathematica for number crunching by
compiling routines using lists of real numbers? It works fine for
variables representing single numbers, but doesn't like a list of reals.
Any advice?
Also, I have a question about disk read time. Reading lists of numbers
from an ascii file is painfully slow by any standatd (on a Powerbook
170). Is there anything that can be done about this?
Thanks
