Help: Mathematica in Win 95 without Network

I have Mathematica 2.2.3 for Windows and run it on a machine with 20 MBytes
of Ram. The machine has no network connection. Mathematica insists on using
16 Bit communications via TCP. But there is no TCP. Hence the front end can
not communicate with the kernel.
Could someone who has solved the problem help me?

Thanks
