Hello,
I find it a little unsatisfying to simply state in my thesis, that I used
NDSolve on my problem. I need to know, which method is actually used by
it. Can anyone help me on that?
Searching Mathsource I only found a massive amount of files, all of them
not very helpful. I didn't read them all, since I don't like downloading a
huge postscript file, printing it, and then discover it has nothing to do
with my problem. Can't there be text versions as well?
And: can't there be a list of the methods used by Mathematica? That's what
bothers me most of MMA: I have to use it as a black box. For standard
problems, that might be okay, but if I know what MMA does when I hit the
button, I can far better check if it's the appropriate routine or not.
After all, MMA is using only published numerical methods, isn't it? Other
programs I use, tell me where to find the routine they're using.
Thanks for hints,
Tobias
