Hello *
I've using Mathematica to create graphs and figures for a paper. So
far, things have been ..interesting. Like learning about graphics
primitives to construct some of the needed figures.
But now I've run into something I'm not seeing in the on-line
documentation or in the Mathematica text (second edition).
I'm creating graphs in Mathematica, clicking on the graph, copying the
graph to the clipboard, and then converting the clipboard to
encapsulated PostScript and saving to a disk file. My paper is
written in LaTeX; I just do a figure and use
makebox{\epsffile{myfile}} to place the figure.
But a couple of the figures are ..too.. large and are eating up a lot
of whitespace in the final output. So I need to resize the graph.
Mathematica permits me to click on the boarder of a graph and drag it
to reduce the size. But nowhere in the documentation (online or book)
do I recognize something that will let me specify a repeatable size of
the graph on the "paper".
Help? Is there some way to tell Mathematica what the output size of
the graph should be without having to imprecisely drag the frame
around?
If you would, please respond via e-mail; the paper is due in about a
week. (Nothing like waiting to the last might... <sigh>) I will
