New symbolic solution methods for nth order ordinary differential  
equations for various forcing functions are presented at the web

Comments are appreciated.  Abstract follows:

Symbolic solutions of nth order ODEs excited by the impulse, step and  
exponential forcing functions are presented. The algorithms employ  
knowledge of the roots (symbolic or numeric) of the associated  
characteristic equation. These methods extend the capablity of DSolve  
and other differential equation solvers.
