Wolfram Research, Inc., makers of Mathematica software, have an
immediate need for a Technical Support Engineer. This person will
respond to written and verbal inquiries about the use of Mathematica and
its installation on the various computer platforms supported, maintain
records of customers, serial numbers, and question subject matter, and
develop ideas for and write technical notes, based on questions being
asked by users.
Ideal candidates will have good oral and written communication skills, a
knowledge of high-level mathematics or science, and experience with at
least three of MS-DOS, Macintosh, NeXT, Unix, and VMS. Bachelor's
degree (preferably in a related field) required. Heavy mathematics
background, including differential equations, linear algebra, and
numerical theory preferred.
