Version 1.1 of Leibniz is now available for download. Leibniz is a shareware
text and equation editor for Macintosh and Power Macintosh computers that
functions as an easy-to-use drag and drop style interface to Mathematica.
Using the power of Mathematica's pattern matching rules, Leibniz offers
a next generation interface for doing mathematics: for many calculations
users do with the system the software can correctly anticipate the action
the user wants to perform. Consequently, doing calculations is as easy as
selecting an expression or portion of an expression and hitting enter or
clicking and dragging to rearrange expressions in a natural way. Leibniz
was designed specifically for use in university level math education, and
makes it as easy as possible for beginning users to do sophisticated
calculations while at the same time mirroring traditional pencil and
paper methods as closely as possible.

With version 1.1, Leibniz now features two and three dimensional plotting
and graphics capabilities. In addition, 1.1 offers a number of bug fixes and
speed enhancements.
