I am evaluating the normal integral with general
parameters mu and sigma:

  Integrate[(1/Sqrt[2Pi])]Exp[(x-mu)/(2sigma^2)],{-Infinity,Infinity}]

One of the answers is correct: Sqrt[sigma^2]/sigma,
the general answer is left in integral form because
Mathematica assumes sigma is a complex number.

How do I tell Mathematica that I am only considering cases where
mu and sigma are reals, so the general case is skipped, and
the correct answer is reduced to 1 ?

 Thanks for any help.
