Hello,
I have begun using Mathematica 3.0 for Linux. I have previously used
2.2 under MS Windows 3.1 .
I tried opening a notebook file from my old collection, and I got a
dialog box with several options. I have tried all these options, but
when I click 'OK', nothing happens and nothing seems to get opened.
What must I do to open an old notebook, while crossing platforms?
BTW, it just occurred to me that DOS and UNIX differ in the way they end
a line of text. Is it because the DOS files contain two control
characters at the end of each line that I am not able to open them?
