Hi MathGroupers,
This sounds like a quibble but I notice that the command
PolynomialDivision is not documented in the Mathematica Book or in the
Help Browser (not just in V3.0 but also in earlier versions). Is this an
oversight or is there a possibility that I may not see it in later
versions? I use this command a lot for my algebra classes in preference
to PolynomialQuotient or PolynomialRemainder.
By the way, I find the Mathematica Book to be well-written and
readable. It does treat many features rather superficially though. The
notebook, in particular, literally has hundreds of commands/functions
and
thousands of options. I would like to use it to prepare my math notes
but
the learning curve seems rather steep. The postings in this newsgroup
seems to be rather skimpy on the notebook frontend so far. Has anyone
out
there use it in a serious way? Is there anything in MathSource which I
can use?
Thanks
Chee
