Three possibilities: 1 save (save as) your notebook as "printOut of my copy of my notebook", delete the unwanted cells and print, (easy, safe and nice printing) 2 in your notebook, select the unwanted cells, Menu "Cell", "cell property" and uncheck "cell open" (easy, not very safe if you work on the original notebbok, not very nice because closed cells take a little room in the notebook for allowing them to be selected, just in case you want to open them back!) 3 generate your output in a new notebook using version 3 notebook manipulation. Far from easy, can be nicer - you can automatically resize graphics for instance, very safe. I should use this method for generating frequent output. Hope this helps. ----------------------------------------------- Jean-Marie THOMAS Conseil et Audit en Ingnierie de Calcul jmthomas at cybercable.tm.fr www.cybercable.tm.fr/~jmthomas -----Original Message----- From: John JOWETT [SMTP:John.Jowett at cern.ch] To: mathgroup at smc.vnet.net Sent: Thursday, November 13, 1997 7:40 AM To: mathgroup at smc.vnet.net Subject: [mg9552] Hiding cells when printing? Sometimes it would be useful to print notebooks without showing certain cells, e.g., to show output but without the input cell that generated it. Clearly this would be a cell format option in Printout (usually used as Printing Style Environment) and not in Working (usually used as Screen Style Environment). Is there a way? I can't find anything beyond selecting the unwanted cells and deleting them in a copy of the notebook.
