We face the following problem.

Mathematica 3.0 is installed on a Sun SPARC.
Several users access the Mathematica from an X-session, emulated on a
Windows PC, using some X-emulator
like PCX-Ware or Exceed.

When running the Mathematica-kernel (not the FrontEnd!), and issuing a
command which should produce a
"graphics" output (like a Plot, ...), the following happens

E.g.
  In[1] =  Plot[x,{x,0,1}]
 Out[1] =  - Graphics -

 Now a window opens on the desktop to show the plot... but after a while
the window "crashes" and a
 core-dump is produced in het users-working directory.

 This problem is not happening on some of our (old) X-terminals.
However it happens as well for PCX-ware
 users as for Exceed users.

 Does anybody recognise this problem? Solved it?

 Thanks a lot.
