Hello,

in a previous version of Mathematica, a simplex downhill method could be
opted for before switching on Levenberg+... . I regret that the old
simplex method is no longer available because I have trouble finding
global minima in many dimensions.

(1) Is it pointless to use the Nelder Mead method?

(2) If not, where do I find this code that was previously available?

(3) Or what is your alternate suggestion?

Thank you in advance for your comments, yours
