I too have had problems with page breaks. Tech support indicated that the "Show Pagebreaks" option is basically useless (my words). When I choose that option it does not show the actual locations of the printer pages, nor does it give the correct page count. Also, I often get page breaks before plots even though the plot would easily fit on the rest of the page. In my opinion a lot of the new 3.0 features, e.g. notation, and the general handling of the screen/printer appearance are still in the beta stage. Maybe the next release will fix this stuff.
