I just had a similar experience---a notebook that crashed Mathematica
everytime I opened a certain group of cells. First try deleting all the
output cells via the Kernel menu. If that doesn't help, you can salvage
some of your work by opening the notebook with a text editor and
copy/pasting one cell at a time into a Mathematica notebook.
