24-bit Xserver under SGI IRIX and Mathematica 3.0

Plots to xterms appear as Black on Black under the SGI IRIX 6.2 24-bit
color driver.  

Under the 8-bit color driver for xdm, plots are Black on White.

Is there a fix for this?
