MRI analysis

Dear all,
 
We have performed an MRI scan, more precesily a T1 volumetric
aquisition, and were wondering if they might be any routines written
for analysis of this kind of data. The data is available as a 2byte per
voxel signal.
 
On a more general touch, is there a software to cut slices through
a 3D set of voxels?
