Hi,

what do you mean with "nice macros". Especial Michael Trotts images are
true killer applications. Only the cover picture of the Mathematica 4.0
book
has 691200 polygons. You may look into the Demo section of your
Mathematica
online help. 

How ever you may spent more mony for a new computer to do somthing
similar.

You may buy the Graphica book by Michael Trott, there are some
explanations for the images.
