sorry but i dont know how to solve
your problem.
I write only because i understand your
sense of frustration!
Im absolutely sure that the differential
equation you are trying to ndsolve is
solvable in terms of some type of special
function (maybe Kummer functions) but,
as you say, NDSolve is not able to solve
it and i dont understand why because sometimes
this package is able to solve very more
complicated equations!
This make me very unhappy...
