Hello!

I am writing a large document in Mathematica 4. I have one file per
chapter. Recently I tried creating a table of contents, which uses many
many CounterBoxes to reference to the chapters, sections, subsections
etc. They look something like

CounterBox["Chapter",{"someFile.nb","someTag}].CounterBox["Section",{"someFile.nb","someTag}]

When I open the file containing all these counterboxes, only some of
them show the correct values for the cross references. Some references
just show up as something like 0.0.0.

I can force Mathematica show all cross references correctly by opening
the referenced file by hand, then showing the expression input for the
counterbox and reverting to normal view.

Is there a way of forcing Mathematica to update all cross references in
a file automatically? After doing this I would like all the 0.0.0s be
gone form my table of contents.

Thanks,

  Henrik Weimer
