Chris,

As far as I know there is no simple shortcut to select a single cell.
But with 'ctlr + .' (shortcut to the menu command 'edit/expression
input/extend selection') you get there with a few key strokes.

Can I select the bracket of the cell in which the cursor rests by a
keyboard shortcut? Like ctr-a selects all cells.

I would like to avoid the use of the mouse while working on my laptop.

Chris
