Looking for a three credit summer course that you can take on your own
schedule at any location?
The UMass Lowell CyberEd course "Introduction to Mathematica" will be
starting its Summer 1998 semester the week of May 21. This is a three
credit university course for Mathematica beginners that is conducted
entirely on-line. Prerequisites are at least two semesters (or
equivalent) of calculus and programming experience. Students need not
prove that these prerequisites are satisfied, but you really do need at
least this background to take the course. Students from other college
and universities should clear the course with their own academic
advisor. This course has been approved by at least 10-15 colleges that
I'm aware of over the past four years. For more information visit
http://www.uml.edu/Dept/Math/m419.html .
