Internal counter overflow

Hi,

Running a longer computation in Mathematica I get the message:

Internal counter overflow.
Some expression evaluations may not run to their
final fixed points.  Try redoing your computation
on a 64-bit enhanced version of Mathematica.

I have not the possibility to Mathematica on a high end workstation.

The computation was not aborted by Mathematica.

Is this a very serious error message?
