Also you might have a look at


Simulations for Solid State Physics
by Silsbee and Dräger
get the hardback version and it has a CD with source code. Here is a good

A web search on ising AND metropolis will turn up lots of hits. The
algorithm proposed by Metropolis is the most commonly used simulation
technique for the spin flips in an Ising simulation.
