Metafile is a Microsoft format not supported on the Mac in non-Microsoft
software.

I would suggest either DongGooks's usggestion if making the notebook
directly into a .pdf file, or simply using Word's equation editor (or it's
more powerful sister, MathType). It depends how many you have to do. If you
only have a few equations to transfer, doing them by hand in Word will
probably take less time than any method of transfering them. And, they will
look good.

Interestingly, Mathematica and MathType are in varying stages of supporting
both TeX and MathML. For MathType, the Windows version is more advanced in
this respect. The good news is that soon it should be possible to copy and
paste equations in this format, which will make life much easier!
