Saving as EPS with a Preview

Saving  graphics with Display["filename",graphics,"EPS"]  saves the
image
but does not allow viewing the image inside  MS Word or Framemaker
without
adding a preview (TIFF or JPEG) with Photoshop or Ghostview.

Is there a method (or indeed is there planned to be a method in a future
version of Mathematica)  to save to a file with a preview directly from
Mathematica?
