I'm currently working on solutions of the wave equation in cylindrical
coordinates, and the Bessel functions appear frequently.
In the calculations I want to use the following recurrence relation,
BesselJ[n,z]/z=(1/2n)(BesselJ[n-1,z]-BesselJ[n+1,z])
in all possible occurrences.
Neither FullSimply or FunctionExpand will do this replacement.
Is there a way to force Mathematica to do this?

I'm using Mathematica 4 for Linux.
