Errors of the form:

Front End Message (12:57:24 on 6/16/0)
Mathematica has detected a possible internal error. If possible, report
the error to support at wolfram.com, quoting "Assertion 'nboxesToSend == 1'
failed at matheditio.c:1326", and describe in as much detail as possible
what you were doing when the error occurred.

which appear in the front end's message window are being triggered by the
front end's typesetting system. Often they will occur when the user is
editing a cell that uses either the StandardForm or TraditionalForm format
types. They may also occur as a front end attempts to intrepret and
display the contents of a cell that has been just loaded or generated.

Is it true that the errors occur when a notebook, saved by a Mathematica 4
front end, is reopened on a Mathematica 3.0.x front end? It may be an
issue due to backward incompatibility rather than platform
interoperability.
