Upgrading to 4.0.1.0 from 4.0.0.0 fixed 3 problems for me, and I am
grateful to WRI for responding promptly to my queries about them:
the AppleTalk slow down, the matheditio internal error,
and the insidious Splitting input across lines bug, illustrated below:
