hi all

is it possible to have Mathematica assume a variable is an integer? i can't find an
example in the Mathematica book (book is for 3.0, but i'm using 4.0).

what i'm getting at is:
Cos[m Pi] = (-1)^m
Sin[n Pi] = 0

etc. thanks!
pete
