Is there a better alterative to InputAutoReplacements (or InputAliases
for that matter) which allows REAL keyboard shortcuts to be defined?

Here is my problem. I'm trying to "simulate" indented outlines in the
frontend. What this means is that I want to cause the left margin of
the current cell to increase or decrease when I press a certain key.
Ideally I would like to press TAB to increase the margin and SHIFT+TAB
to decrease the margin, like in MS Word Outline mode.

The problem is, I can't use TAB in InputAutoReplacement, because it's
whitespace, and InputAutoReplacement uses whitespace to delineate when
the substitute. And the frontend doesn't seem to even recognize
SHIFT+TAB.

Any ideas? I realize I could simply create a palette to do the trick,
but TAB and SHIFT+TAB are much quicker than moving the mouse.

Thanks,

Otto
