Font Problems

I just recently installed the Japanese Language Kit on my Mac OS 9 system and now Mathematica uses the alphabetic portion of the Japanese font for its title bars and menu bars. Is there a way to change the font or font encoding to be the same as the font the rest of the programs on my machine use? Thanks, Alan
