Given a ButtonBox[], if it is desired that clicking on the button will
cause the kernel to evaluate a function f[], then the syntax would look
like:

ButtonBox[
 "Click here to evaluate",
 ButtonEvaluator -> Automatic,
 ButtonFunction :> f[],
 Active -> True
]
