(NOT meant as a flame!).... What do you reasonably expect? There's millions of Windows users out there, and perhaps hundreds of thousands who are potential users of Mathematica and add-ons thereto. If YOU were going to invest major time, over a course of years, to produce an add-on to Mathematica and expected at least to break even on your investment of time, which platform(s) would you address? The same issue is why, e.g., certain key (non-Mathematica-related) statistics packages are no longer upgraded for Mac -- just not a big enough market. "Inferior" evidently refers to inherent quality of the OS in your posting. But the "best" may not really be the best when it comes to finding enough software, support, etc.; in that context, the "best" is what the greatest number of people use.
