Martin, You can prevent Figure1 and Figure2 from being shown in the notebook by adding an option : Figure1= ListPlot[... , DisplayFunction->Identity]; Figure2= Plot[..., DisplayFunction->Identity]; Show[figure1,Figure2]; Think positive.
