Info on CompiledFunction

I recently came across a package named 'Decompile' which claimed to
'translate' the op-codes in the 3rd argument of the -mysterious-
CompiledFunction. Unfortunately it seems to be written for v3, so it
didn't really work with v4, which as far as I can tell has some major
revisions of the particular function (eg. there seem to be more
internal registers). Does anyone have any idea where to find the
specifics of the internal compiler(at least the meaning of the
op-codes)?
Regards,
Orestis
